Šarkezi

IT student in Murska Sobota, Slovenia. I like the part of software that happens after the code is written: getting it onto a server, keeping it secure and knowing when it breaks.

Open to student work and junior roles in DevOps and infrastructure.

Projects

sitecheck

Running

A public service that grades how well a website is protected, from A to F: HTTPS, certificate, security headers and cookies. It runs on my Hetzner server in Docker behind Caddy. Every push to GitHub is tested, built and deployed on its own, and rolls back if the new version fails its health check. A monitor re-checks sites every few hours and posts to Discord when something gets worse.

Because it sends requests to any address a visitor types in, most of the work went into what it refuses to do: only public hostnames, every redirect re-checked, rate limits, and containers that run without root.

Python, FastAPI, Docker Compose, Caddy, GitHub Actions, SQLite

sitecheck also watches this page. The badge is drawn live from its latest check.

netscan

An asynchronous network scanner for the command line. TCP connect scans without root, host discovery, banner grabbing for HTTP, SSH, FTP and SMTP, and export to JSON, CSV or XML. Takes single IPs, CIDR ranges or hostnames, with limits on speed and parallel connections.

Python, asyncio

wolt_sledilnik

A school project built around my own delivery work: a MySQL database with 19 entities, triggers and views for tracking deliveries and earnings, with full documentation, plus a C# desktop app in WinForms and WPF on top of it.

MySQL, C#, WinForms, WPF

How it all runs

Everything on this page, sitecheck included, runs on one server I set up and look after myself. Three paths keep it going.

Live numbers from the server: site grades, certificate validity, time since the last deploy and monitor checks
Live from the server, refreshed every few minutes. Uptime history
